Buy overpriced ugly truck from an outward Nazi

Cover it in shiny gold wrap to draw even more attention and be obnoxious to anyone who doesn’t want to be blinded on the road

Be surprised when people don’t like you

Hard to find any sympathy for the guy. A cybertruck costs almost 3 times the amount of comparable electric trucks.

You pay that much extra because you want the hate.

The people in this thread saying “fuck him” and “he deserves it” is the reason why we’re so divided. The same reason we have hate and turmoil in this country. Who gives a shit if he drives a cybertruck. Similar to the Gulf of America. Who gives a shit about the change. It’ll be changed back eventually anyway.

      No, no no

Trump has been pushing for a divide for about a decade now, continuously pushing one part of the country, his fan base, against the rest.

Now what you’re saying is that now that people are fed up and start pushing back, we are the problem?

      You are the problem

Are we seriously stooping to the level of our supposed betters when it comes to dealing with criticism or disagreement? Elon Musk and Trump, two individuals who have no qualms about using their influence and power to bully others into silence.

A fellow just gets harassed for driving a car that he’s passionate about. Can you imagine how it feels to be constantly singled out and shunned because of something so mundane as the shape of your vehicle? The Cybertruck is a polarizing design, but should that make one a target for abuse?

The stickers on his car are just the cherry on top of this toxic behavior. It’s not just harassment, it’s vandalism. I can only imagine how dehumanizing and demoralizing it must be to have people’s hate projected onto your property.

This incident is a perfect example of how our society has become increasingly divided and tribal. We’re more likely to attack the person or the idea rather than engaging in constructive dialogue. The ‘other’ becomes a target, and we lose sight of what really matters - empathy, kindness, and understanding.

I’m truly sad to see this happen. The owner of the Cybertruck is not some kind of ideologue who deserves to be attacked. He’s just an average person who wants to drive his car without fear of reprisal or ridicule. And what will it achieve? Will it make him think twice about his choices? I doubt it. If anything, it’ll reinforce his conviction and anger.

We need to learn to treat each other with respect and dignity, even when we disagree. Harassment and intimidation are not solutions to problems; they’re just symptoms of a deeper issue - our inability to listen to opposing views and engage in civil discourse.

While you’re joining in the pointless mud slinging about a person’s choice of vehicle, the government is being dismantled, we’re filling our first concentration camps and threatening to invade Canada.

The solution isn’t to play the game of pointless division which got us into this mess in the first place. The people with power that are breaking our society got that power by tricking people into worrying about trivial differences within their class.

The solution to that problem isn’t to continue worrying about trivial differences amongst your class.

We need to learn to treat each other with respect and dignity, even when we disagree.

They can start first if they have such a problem with it. Conservatives have been lambasting and attacking anyone who disagrees with them since the 90s. My car was vandalized at work after the 2000 election because of a bumper sticker.

Too bad Kamala wasn’t the winner. She was all about “take the high road”. It seems that since she lost, people have interpreted this as “I must get as dirty as the other side to win”. Sorry, I don’t want to play those low, nasty games that the other side has played forever.

The right is living out their wet dream right now, in charge of almost every facet of the federal government. Unfortunately for them, that also comes with the responsibility to improve things in some way. By almost any metric you can imagine, we haven’t seen much improvement. I think if they don’t want to get tossed out next election, they had better start building up some wins. I do not think the public, no matter how MAGA-ly aligned will gladly accept 3.9 more years of “b-b-b-b-but Biden made the economy so bad we can’t do anything”.

Why was Trump before the election saying “Give me a day and I’ll fix this country” and then after it saying “Well, things are real hard, but we’ll give it a shot…”. It’s because the guy is all bark and no bite. It’s a lot easier to promise all-encompassing fixes to the USA than it is to actually do them, and I think other than just blindly tearing down (expensive) federal agencies and claiming that as a win, he has no real plan other than disruption. Unfortunately for those of us in the USA that just want to live day by day, we aren’t rooting for random chaos.

I think about half the voters just want to see the world burn to “own the libs” and the other half wants improvements in housing costs, food costs, improvements in wagers, worker’s rights, etc. My crystal ball says we will see much more disruption and vanishingly few improvements to life for the average American, but let’s find out! I’d be glad to be wrong and Trump transforms the USA into a utopia. I just don’t think it’s very likely.

I’d rather have one party slinging mud than two. Apparently there’s a lot of people who want “revenge” and permission to be nasty “because that’s what the other guys do”. Go ahead, if that’s what tickles your pickle, but I’m not joining in. I don’t want to sink to the lowest common denominator.

I’d like to think the Democrats will win because the Republicans will get nothing of substance done during the next 3.9 years and the Democrats will come up with some decent plans for the nation. It seems like a lot of people just want to see the Democrats get better at slinging mud instead. I don’t agree with this.

I’d rather have democrats in power for more than four months over 40 years so they can actually fix things.

Because that’s what always happens: Republicans sling mud and break shit, Democrats get elected because shit is broken and refuse to sling mud to fix it, and then Democrats lose because they won’t sling mud.

But if you don’t want to break the cycle we’ve been stuck in since Reagan because it’s mean then I don’t know what to tell you.

It’s almost certainly the neighbors thing. The specific complaints are mostly that Rhode Islanders have a very distinctive accent (it’s no longer super widespread, but think Lois from family guy) and when your friends/relatives move there, they stop thinking of an hourlong drive (to visit you) as a day trip, but that might just be a trend in my circle.

That, and their clam chowder isn’t real chowder and wtf is coffee milk (yep, those are definitely just neighborly things to pick at). I always liked honey dew better than dunkin though.

Cheese balls are most certainly not equivalent to cheese curds in any form.

Cheese curds are an ambiguous term, they are either fresh or fried.

Traditionally, fried cheese curds are what one does with their extra cheese curds after they are no longer fresh.

Cheese curds are no longer fresh once they have been refrigerated and lose their squeak. Only thing left to do with them then is to batter and fry them. But they still aren’t cheese balls.

Silly blue plates don’t know shit about cheese.
