Erm, embarrassingly older.

They do have categories, via the menu at the top:
She may have been MAGA, but I admire her for having principles and being able to admit to being wrong.

I think we can go ahead and call them concentration camps at this point. That’s what they will build on those 1400 acres in Texas, and that’s how they’ll be used. Convenient bureaucratic mix-ups will enable them to contain immigrants, targeted minorities and political opponents.
It’s not a “salute”, it’s a Nazi salute, from a Nazi, to tell the world, “I’m a powerful Nazi and there’s nothing you can do about it.”
It’s time we did something about it.
How dare a priest call for compassion towards others. Jesus would be outraged.
As I understand it (not a biologist), the point is that the Y chromosome associated with maleness doesn’t start expressing and changing the direction of physical development until 5-6 weeks into gestation. Before that (and after that in fetuses with XX chromosomes) only X chromosomes are at work, and the physical structures that develop are undifferentiated between male and female. So you could talk about whether Y chromosomes are present, and the likelihood of going on to express typical male or female characteristics, but the Y chromosome isn’t influencing development until later.
In the end though biology is complicated and there’s no reason our crude concepts of “male” and “female” should be anything other than useful simplifications for understanding how complex processes often play out. Unfortunately, Republicans can only think in simplistic binary terms because real things like shades of grey or multiple dimensions of variation confuse them and make them angry.
The person I was responding to suggested that ridiculing the AfD was preferable to banning it. In the USA people ridiculed but did not ban the Republican Party, and now it is stronger than ever. I was saying that this indicates you have to be careful how you ridicule them. If people feel you’re on their side and making fun of idiot fascists, that’s good. If people think you look like a snob and the fascists are the ones on their side, it backfires.
You have to do it with care. If it comes over as believing that your non-bigoted, non-idiotic culture is superior to the fascists’ culture of bigotry and idiocy, they’ll dig in and rail against snobbish “elites” (that is, people who can string a sentence together and recognize a lie when they hear one). In the USA this sentiment strengthened the fascists and led to Trump winning the presidency twice.
(I know I’m not exactly following my own advice but I’m feeling impatient with these people right now.)
I believe it’s called the “master race”.
And his voters will never learn, because their media bubble insulates them from facts.
And, according to the article, wasn’t sufficiently biased towards white men.
It used to be widespread, but for some reason the reactionary, hate-filled stuff has been gaining in popularity at the expense of more open-minded Christianity for decades now, and especially in the USA. Where I live the majority of churches are covered with rainbow flags and “everyone welcome here” signs. But more and more people are going to megachurches where they play shit music and preach hatred.
Your taxes, straight into the pockets of Sam Altman and Larry Ellison.
A lot of movies are more or less subtle political propaganda.
It has always been very striking how Americans love movies where in times of trouble disparate people overcome their differences to work together and solve problems selflessly for the greater good, but in real life they absolutely hate this idea.
Everyone already knows what the constitution says:
We the people, er, can be assholes to you whenever we want and you can’t do shit, and we got big guns, and trucks, and fuck you.
It will be selectively enforced. Oath Keepers and Proud Boys who beat cops using their “patriotic” flagpoles will be allowed to go free. Those less white will be executed in the street for masking a cop feel uncomfortable. Those who attempt to defend themselves from fascists trying to send their families to concentration camps will be executed in the camps.
How do we reconcile that with Trump’s ambassador arguing that Israel has a “biblical right” to the West Bank? There’s no consistency of principle here, except for the principle of “whatever suits us”.
