I’m a few episodes in and gripped. Does the quality stay the same throughout? And do you know similar shows?

Generally good throughout the first season. Already greenlit for season two

Solid, not amazing, honestly the only thing you’ll remember is Eddie Redmayne.

They screwed up the whole plot of the ‘protagonist’ (not Redmayne) and her acting was terrible.

Her boss, The High Evolutionary, is good, but the writing isn’t great there either.

Really overpowered actors in a lot of roles (Charles fucking dance), given way too little decent plot.

The settings are incredible though, nailed a lot of cimenatography.

I watched it and would say the quality stays consistent for the most part. Some of the B plot gets a little over the top in the later episodes though

Big fan. I went in with low expectations and found it great. It has its problems with some storylines but I think the core of it still works well.

Definitely looking forward to season 2.

I’m about halfway through reading the book and this is how I find out there’s a show! Feels hard to imagine this being anything more than a miniseries, but heck I’ll take it.

I liked it. I’ve been trying to think of similar shows where the main character comes up with inventive plans, and use contingencies when things get rough. Better Call Saul has some moments.

Finally remembered the show that’s been on the tip of my brain: The Riches.

Similar feel of setting up schemes to get away with stuff, and having to improvise when things go wrong.
