Sony Interactive Entertainment and Insomniac Games' latest web-swinging adventure, Marvel's Spider-Man 2, requires sales of 7.2 million copies at full price in order to break even, as the game has a colossal budget of over $300 million.
Among the recent spell of leaks involving Insomniac Games’ future titles are presentation slides indicating that the studio's latest release, Marvel's Spider-Man 2, has
Sold 5 million in the first 11 days so it’s likely already surpassed that.

The OP article also mentions that they are expecting to sell 11.6 million in the first year. They’re gonna be fine
If they burned through 5 million in 11 days they should be WELL past that by now I’d think…
For most things like games and movies, especially those that are highly anticipated, a huge chunk of sales are immediate. Then there’s a steep drop off in rate of sales.
I wouldn’t be surprised if they’ve long since surpassed their goal, but initial sales are generally just a good indication of initial sales. Not much else.
What a fucking nothing article. Gotta get them clicks!!!
Journalism is fucking dead
