As much as I love a good, sweet sugar and cinnamon oatmeal, just adding berries and some nuts is actually really good as well
Its still sugar, Berries are just carbohydrates and water.
That’s only true from a calorie standpoint.
The carbohydrate structure is much more complex and is released much slower than with refined white sugar.No one has ever gotten diabetes from eating to many berries alone (no data to back this claim up, but this is the internet. I’ll take a leap)

Roux is fucking amazing, but 2 centuries sit between Roux and Oatmeal/Tofu.
People don’t realize how amazing oatmeal is. It’s Tofu without industrial processing, and Roux without the immediate human involvement.
