    Oatmeal is a nothing base.

    Do you know how much work it takes to make a filling base stock that can pivot in any direction?

    Savory, Sweet, Salty?

    Oatmeal is a fucking miracle centuries in the making.

    Fish, Chicken, Beef, Pork, Vegetables, or Botanicals all go well with it.

    I literally eat oatmeal raw and dry like a godamm horse eating out of a trough. Yes I have a problem.

    Alright, well, fuck off then. Go eat whatever. If I catch you wrinkling your nose at my breakfast I dehumanize you and treat you as an NPC, just one of the things that’s installed in here that I have to walk around.

    Or you can let people eat their food without commenting on their business

        I don’t even need to put salt on my rice. It’s great on its own just boiled.

          Thai Jasmin rice. Once I found a good hookup oh baby did my view on rice change.

          Idk what they’re doing to rice over there but everything about it is perfect. Aroma, flavour, texture. It’s delicious fluffy white rice every time.

      As much as I love a good, sweet sugar and cinnamon oatmeal, just adding berries and some nuts is actually really good as well

          That’s only true from a calorie standpoint.
          The carbohydrate structure is much more complex and is released much slower than with refined white sugar.

          No one has ever gotten diabetes from eating to many berries alone (no data to back this claim up, but this is the internet. I’ll take a leap)

      Wheat is bread and nothing else without Roux. Even Rye does better.

      You need corn or soy beans to make anything else without industry.

      I hate this statement cause wheat does a lot. It’s a ton of calories, and that matters.

      Roux is fucking amazing, but 2 centuries sit between Roux and Oatmeal/Tofu.

      People don’t realize how amazing oatmeal is. It’s Tofu without industrial processing, and Roux without the immediate human involvement.

      Add sugar, fat, and an Acid it’s a world class dish.

      How many stock bases can claim the same.

    Oatmeal is a grain product, so yeah, adding other things to it to make it more to your personal liking is kinda the point.

    This is like saying bread is bad because most people like it in a sandwich.

    Oatmeal can’t compare to the natural tasting notes of cinnamon toast crunch

    Edit: On a serious note, Oatmeal is kind of like Coffee where you start by getting the ready made instant stuff, get a taste for it, begin to narrow your selection and then create your own perfect formula
