Vince Zampella, who co-created the popular video game series Call of Duty, has died in a car crash in California, aged 55.
Zampella’s death was confirmed by Electronic Arts, which owns Respawn Entertainment, a game studio he co-founded.
The influential video game developer was travelling in a Ferrari with another person, when it crashed and caught fire on a highway in Los Angeles on Sunday.
“Died in a car crash” is not an accurate description. He killed himself and killed his passenger by driving recklessly (and might I add, far beyond his own skill level) in his million dollar toy car as if the public road was his own personal race track. Womp womp.
was travelling in a Ferrari with another person
Travelling is a nice euphemism for flying out of a tunnel doing 120 on a public road and directly into a road barrier. I saw the video, brother was probably having a blast, but gets no sympathy for me, same when Ryan Dunn did it. FAFO
You can fuck around, physics won’t.
I’ve seen the headlines about this list it as a car crash, a Ferrari accident, and a mountain road accident.
Has there ever been an accident with a Ferrari that wasn’t because the owner was swinging his dick?
I didn’t know enough about the guy to like laugh about him being dead, but people doing this shit always deserve it on the first offense. Nobody gets to enjoy the thrill of going that fast without immediately paying the bill.
I don’t know anything about the passenger either, but getting killed because your driver is insecure about his tiny peepee fucking sucks.
