    What about this interaction from two years ago is unironic support for the Taliban?

    The part that says “critical support” and “being totally serious”

            In the post they’re being asked if they’re joking, they respond they are not joking. Your response is that they are joking.

            Why?

              Because the response that they’re not joking looks pretty clearly sarcastic.

              But as someone pointed out in another thread, it can be both: a joke with a nugget of truth.

              To me it reads clearly sarcastic, but I’m not deep in tankie culture so I can’t know for sure the degree to which that is true, if any.
