The black and white stripe logo on his hat almost had me thinking it was a “thin blue line” symbol, which would have made this pretty ironic.
Anyone have more context for this image?
US Army 3rd Infantry Division patch.
The broken TV. Famously first into Iraq… the second time, that is.
“If you’re not first, you’re second-first.” -Gulf War II Vets
I’ve seen the video from someone in the crowd but not sure where. The rep was basically reading from a script and the veteran called him out for screwing them over and called him a liar and that they are betraying veterans. Then when the cops came he started yelling fuck you to the rep. Wish the other folks would have had his back
Not sure of the ‘thin blue line’ part (although it wouldn’t surprise me), but in a Republican Town Hall a bunch of Republican voters were yelling at their rep (who smiled like a cat in the cream) about all the job cuts and stuff. This guy got extra loud about it so the police dragged him out.
So just another leopards eating faces moment, really. For these knuckle-draggers, the fact that their ‘team’ won is more important than losing their jobs… right up until it happens.
Too many people think free speech is the right to walk into any room and yell anything you want.
Too many people think decorum and tradition will stop proto-fascist hacks who abandoned both decades ago.
Have a day off mate, ffs
What a clownish thing to say
A day off from trying to stop fascism? No, no I don’t think I will. Thanks though, I appreciate the concern! I just got back from vacation anyway.
lol grow up.
This is a photograph of a man shouting . We are in /c/pics . And you are yelling on the internet
I’ll have you know I’m past fully grown and well into already dying. Old enough to know that caps = yelling, sorry you must be too young to know that. But I’m glad you know where you are right now, I know dementia is often worse at night.
If law enforcement can legally remove you from a public forum for confronting your elected officials, how free is your speech really?
Not defending the police, but there’s a difference between being removed for being a disruption and being arrested for what you say.
Protest by its nature is disruptive. So you support police being free to end protest? To detain people because they’re an inconvenience to fascists?
