The poll is the latest warning sign to Democrats that the war in Gaza is costing support among a key voting bloc.

I’ll assume your interests are fully aligned with the aggrieved minority, but consider their POV for a brief moment. Trump’s talking about an end to the conflict, he’s at the very least honest about what Netanyahu wants, and he’s dunking on the islamophobic, mass-murdering Cheneys.

Arab Americans are well aware of Trump’s racism, which is why they put their trust in liberals and went for Biden by a landslide. This is a pretty clear “fuck you” to those very same liberals for carrying out a genocide.

What’s farther than genocide? This was yesterday,

A mother from #Jabalia says: “They took all the children from their mothers and put them inside what resembled a pit or a hole. The tank came to circle around them repeatedly until their bones cracked under the pressure of dust and sand, amidst the screams of children and the wailing of mothers.

“After that, the soldiers came and started throwing the children towards the mothers, and whoever caught a child was ordered to carry him and move away quickly, with no guarantee that the child would be their own.

“Many mothers carried children who were not their own, and were forced to leave with them, leaving their own children in the hands of other mothers. This marked the beginning of a new chapter of suffering, with mothers searching for their children in the arms of other women, trying to calm the children they held until they found their real mothers.“

“President Donald Trump accused President Joe Biden of abandoning Israel after the incumbent said he would not supply the country with weapons it could use to invade Rafah.”

            https://ny1.com/nyc/all-boroughs/news/2024/05/09/trump-israel-biden-jewish-voters-hamas-spectrum-news-interview

Trump wouldn’t offer even the token pushback that Biden has, and would likely ramp up the payments and weapons supplied to Israel.

            https://www.reuters.com/article/world/trump-cuts-more-than-200-million-in-us-aid-to-palestinians-idUSKCN1L923C/

When he was president before, he already massively cut aid to Gaza, and would probably do so again.

            That’s how you go farther

      You know what?

This is a really good point. According to the article,

the margin of error of plus or minus 5.93 percent.

Meanwhile, it also said the poll was saying,

      45 percent to 43 percent

So in the extreme case, rather than being down by 2 points for Harris, it could be up for Harris by almost 4 points.

Anyone who is an Arab-American and concerned about the situation in the middle east, and who is voting for Trump, has to be a special kind of stupid. He’s the candidate who hates brown-skinned people and who is backed by money that supports Jewish interests in the middle east because they think more death and destruction will force Jesus to come down from his cloud quicker. If these Arab Americans think Trump will offer Palestine or Lebanon even a modicum of help then they are fucking idiots.

    Edit: Clarified some phrasing.

Harris isn’t going to alienate 300,000 Jewish voters in PA for 20,000 Arab voters in MI.

    https://www.cnn.com/2024/10/22/politics/jewish-voters-pennsylvania-election/index.html

“The American Jewish Population Project at Brandeis University estimates there are about 300,000 Jewish voters in the Keystone State. When you consider that Joe Biden won Pennsylvania by less than 82,000 votes in 2020, and Trump by about 44,000 votes in 2016, the margins matter.”

The vast majority of US Jews want the conflict to end, something that can be done by a US president with a phonecall.

Harris declaring that she’ll end the war would be a boost across this demographic, and I’d assume many others.

Hamas rules Gaza by assassination and fear. They kill other Palestinians with guns and other things all the time. They shoot parents in front of their kids and vice verse to stay in power. The Iranian immamate and Qatari royals don’t pay people to post about it online all day, though, so Al Jazeera doesn’t write about it and Guardian doesn’t retweet about it, and that’s the truth of the matter. The evidence is staring you in the face.

Doesn’t the idea of trained, uniformed soldiers, subject to a very robust, open legal system, as well as a military code of justice enforced by courts martial, sniping kids in the head for sport sound unbelievable? I posit that not only does it sound unbelievable, but that is actually is unbelievable; that if you were being rational, you should not and would not believe it.

No, no doctor anywhere in the world can determine the identity and motive of an individual from a bullet wound. This article’s presumption to the contrary defies obvious logic and physics. Think about it for five seconds. Terminal ballistics has nothing to do with identifying the shooter or motive.

In no court of law in America would these doctors testimony be admitted as identification evidence or to explain motive, and you must know this to be true. Should read more critically, slow down.

The Jewish voting block, although largely Blue by tradition, does have have a real alternative in the GOP candidate (since he’d stick with the Israel Prime Minister no matter how low they go in Gaza, no matter what, as long as he’s not personally insulted).

This is part of the reason why Dems have had to walk such a fine line around Gaza - it’s next to impossible navigate without offending either group. That said, it’s difficult to understand folks of this persuasion who’d actively support the GOP guy here - both alternatives are bad so you’d actually pick the worse one?

the flames are lit and gondor is calling for aid; but only tankies are answering the call and the rest of rohan is too busy trying to convince themselves that genocide is okay so long as you don’t genocide as hard as the other guy.
