I do use it myself (free tier only) but it’s out of ease and convenience. I’m ready to abandon it but I like the security it brings. My stuff is just personal garbage with no strict uptime requirement - if I lose public access I still have Tailscale and a VPN to my router as backup.

Beans have a huge variety of texture. Some might be mushy, but most probably won’t be quite as mushy as canned AND cooking yourself means you can control the texture as well.

I’m no good with varieties but there are waxier beans out there that maintain texture when cooked. Lots of beans cook up more similar to garbanzo’s in texture but are shaped and taste more like a typical bean. Definitely worth experimenting.

Otherwise, embrace the mush, had me some amazing huevos rancheros this AM. A slightly runny yolk (I like mine over medium), some refried beans and red chili sauce. Was amazing on toast.

Anyone else feel like this is nature fighting back against the horrible farming practices and shit eating habits? I love me a good steak, and definitely eat too much red meat, so, if I wind up with one of these tick bites, I guess I’ll have to chalk it up to karma.

I have seen people moved to tears from ai music. To me no matter how good it sounds, I still feel like I’m listening to modem noises. The problem is, masculinity has been turned into a performative art these days. To the culture obsessed with masculinity, you have to fall in line, wear the clothes, support the right people…. What they don’t get is that this is the least masculine behavior possible.

Seriously, look at the “masculine” types, they all are groomed, their trucks are all spotless, they go to work and sit in the same chairs as the rest of us; but think their fascist adjacent clothing makes them look tough. I see nothing but insecure manchildren.
