Even Baier seemed to acknowledge that Harris won the day.

“I think she had a mission that she wanted to do,” Baier said after the interview. “Maybe she wanted to have a viral moment or pushback. She came to Fox News and she wanted to have a go-after-Donald-Trump viral moment that plays on a lot of other channels and on social media. She may have gotten that.”

Harris received rave reviews from across the political world.

Dude… you asked the questions about her stance on Trump. She just responded. The fact that you tried to play a game of “gotcha” and got called on it is your fault.

The fact that literally 1 second elapsed from her bringing up a Trump talking point and him cutting to footage that sanewashes it was the giveaway. Nobody is that good unless it was a set up for a dunk.

ha, she spent most of her time talking about her policies and experience. it was faux news that kept bringing up the orange piece of shit.

if youre not drinking the flavor-aid anything you say about donald would be detrimental.

Faux news bringing up such strawman questions like “My numbers say 50% of people hate you. Are you saying they are stupid?”

Fixed. Other coverage has pointed out that Trump would not have been treated the same way and allowed to ramble on about whatever. And Fox would have called it a brilliant answer.

Oh, it wasnt just a regular interview? Is something going on in the US these upcoming weeks?

Yeah it’s the time every 4 years where we vote to decide “do you want someone who might raise taxes on billionaires, or do you want someone who would slit your mother’s throat for a dollar?” And we always seem to get hung up on that decision.

Good job answering without slipping the G-word in there. Nice to have level headed discourse for a change.

    He didn’t admit anything.

"“I think she had a mission that she wanted to do,” Baier said after the interview. “Maybe she wanted to have a viral moment or pushback. She came to Fox News and she wanted to have a go-after-Donald-Trump viral moment that plays on a lot of other channels and on social media. She may have gotten that.”

That’s not admitting she “won” anything. That’s him bitching to the fox croud that “she wasn’t here in good faith, she just wanted a clip for tictok and to bash Ultimate Lord God our Savior Trump.”

I saw a clip of the part where she was talking about something Trump said and they played a clip with the quote edited out to show he “didn’t say it”, and it was infuriating that she didn’t just straight up call it out and say they edited the clip and cut off the relevant part. She just kept saying that the clip is not what he said.

Does he mean she was on a mission in a different way than he was, with all of Fox’s dubious assertions inextricably tied to each of his questions?

I mean it’s not hard as long as you’re paying attention. Pretty much everything the conservatives and centrist conservative “liberals” are using to convince their base are lies and exaggerations. They rely on basic logical fallacies that any seasoned debater should be able to recognize and shoot down the fallacies without engaging with them.

But that doesn’t make for good entertainment, so usually they just move on from one fallacy to the next and interrupt anything heading towards fact and never actually debate anything of substance because they aren’t there for that. They’re there for ratings for their owners and advertisers. That includes the politicians as much as FOX News and the media outlets.
