Ah, I see. Sorry if I came off as a bit aggressive. I’m confident that for the reasons I outlined anything the US could do wouldn’t have an effect, and even if it did the CPC would quickly take action. IMO the firewall is already sort of outliving its usefulness, since I can’t stress enough how many people in China truly have little idea what’s going on in the west, at least in my experience.
Chinese people aren’t as dumb as you’d think; if they wanted to they could easily access the western web already, as many do. Even if they could, would some rando in China really suddenly become anti-government because of some racist guy ranting about the inhumanity of dog-eating asiatics? If anything opening up the internet will strengthen popular support for the government. The west in the eyes of many Chinese internet users is… laughably positive (one expressed surprise that the US could have more income inequality than China), so anything they’d be exposed to, even the most blatant propaganda, would still come as quite a shock to their expectations,
the only thing I know about them is some rando on the tnomemes subreddit who repeatedly spammed gacha life memes with their 10 thousand alts involving land. She’s featured in a hoi4 mod currently in development as some kind of cyber-accelerationist? idk.
I’m not exactly sure but it’s in the Huangshan district in Anhui.
idk bilibili, from what I’ve seen, is more toxic and has a higher concentration of libs. I don’t know about weibo but I’ve heard bad things about it. I’m not too familiar with either, though, so I could be wrong.
the link won’t open for me so I can’t see the context, but based on my (limited) knowledge you don’t have to stay in one place your whole life. I’m pretty sure you can just… move if you want to, I don’t think there’s anything in the way of that other than the hassle or expenses. For example my cousin’s family moved from a more rural region to one that’s still pretty rural, but only about half an hour or 15 minutes’ worth of walking distance from a relatively small urban center.
neocon, since it’s the major backer behind zionism.
I dislike them since I prefer pcs, but I don’t hate them per se. I do wish I could have instagram features on pc though.
happy birthday oppo!
I get where you’re coming from but this type of analysis really pisses me off. The Chinese government isn’t ruled by idiots, and terrorism hasn’t been an issue since decades ago. Even within the country hardly anybody thinks Xinjiang is an ‘unstable region’. Western funded insurgence has been a thing since 50’s tibet, and if trading with the west would lead to it magically collapsing it would’ve happened long ago. China is not a fragile state.
in a weird way, maybe evangelion. It’s depressing, but it’s comforting in a way too.
There’s so many things wrong with this claim, such as the fact that nobody knows how to read minds, the expenses of all of these nanparticle machines, where they’re being made if there’s that many of them, how they identify the people they’re in and link them to their online shopping accounts, but more importantly why the people who invented this cheap mind-reading technology aren’t rushing to put their name on it. But the serious answer is that this lie is in fact fabricated to distract us from the real danger, the birds.
I can’t be the only one who gets pissed when people go “muh why isn’t china launching all their nukes at israel!!! So disappointing!”
IS THAT JOSUKE
Just what I needed to bring a smile to my face in the morning.
