Unless you come to a one-of-a-kind artisan bakery, your croissant is almost certainly made on the factory, very likely in the night shift, delivered as refrigerated/frozen semi-finished product, and put into oven in the place you consider “bakery” by the angry people who had to get up at 4am to do it for the minimum wage.

I’m unironically getting my masters in bakery technology and it’s a shithole like no other.
Academia has the way of ruining everything for you. Even sweet warm croissants.
