With Hamas also rejecting a ceasefire this is not getting better anytime soon.

Israel did not offer a ceasefire. It makes no sense for them to do so as their goal is not to defend themselves, but to exterminate the Palestinian people.

You should maybe watch the news and get informed before you say such patently false things.

Dwhat do you think the negotiations in Egypt over the last few days have been?

Did you know there were negotiations? Do you know what negotiations are?

I’m sure I read a statement from the Israeli side but can’t find the quote. Basically Israel said they are open to a peace deal that involves the release of all the hostages and dismantling of Hamas. Obviously that was a none starter for Hamas.

Israel has only put forth temporary ceasefires for the release of all hostages, meaning the release of hostages only if Israel can continue hostilities afterwards.

Hamas has put forth permanent ceasefires for the release of all hostages, meaning a cessation of hostilities.

                Ceasefires

Israel has been planting seeds of genocide for decades. They’re getting exactly what they always wanted.

Wait they have only been planting the seeds of genocide for decades?

Then why have you all been lying to me and claiming that the genocide has been ongoing since 1967 (one person on here has even suggested that it began in the late 1890s)?

                  March 22nd, 1933.

It’s interesting that other genocides have documentation yet you are basing yours off feelings, and yet, not even sure what year you feel it is.

                  You are an unserious person.

That’s just the first date the camps took prisoners, my guy, you could argue quite easily that the genocide started sooner than that, during planning. Or, like many historians, you could say the genocide didn’t start until the explicit goal of the final solution to the Jewish problem was decided upon and the Holocaust began in ernist, which would be in 1941.

There’s plenty of documentation for what the Isrealis have done, your shitty argument was that because we couldn’t agree on an exact start date there must be no genocide. That’s a stupid position.

Again this shit? There’s a reason Hamas has been rejecting the US’s “ceasefires”, and that’s because there’s no mechanism to prevent Israel from attacking Rafah after it ends. Israel has been clear they’ll attack Rafah either way. So throwing away all their leverage (also known as hope for a slightly less miserable future) for a pause in the genocide would just be stupid. Hamas has already stated the ceasefire they want and Israel has rejected it time and time again.

I mean yes. They’re a dictatorship, don’t get me wrong, and terrorists depending on who you ask, but the idea that they don’t give two shits about Palestinians and want the conflict with Israel to continue forever is simply not supported by anything from the last 20 years. Hamas can best be thought of as the Palestinian version of the Troubles IRA, and while the IRA was… That I don’t think you can argue that they didn’t want the well being of the Irish people.

Uh… Literally yes. They’d not considered a terrorist organization in the UN, for example. Whether Hamas is a terrorist organization was never as clear cut as the US and Israel would want you to believe. Not that it matters, but there you go.

They’re doing similar things to the IDF.

I put them both in the terrorist state category.

                  Both terrorists, both governments.

I mean so does the UN. Anyway I recognize they do terror, but calling them a terrorist organization would be a denunciation of all their actions, not just the terror, so they’re in a weird spot.

From what we heard about the Iranian government informing the families that the hostages are dead, it looks like Hamas rejected the ceasefire because they aren’t ready yet to admit they murdered the remaining hostages.

Hamas is free to give a proof of life if they have that capability.

Edit: ya’ll can downvote but you won’t say shit because you know it is true. Hamas murdered the hostages and instead of admitting it they are choosing to continue to allow innocent Palestinians to die. This is who you guys have joined the side of.

It’s a crime against humanity to not feed hostages. It is also a crime to rape them.

You pro-hamas people should at least make an attempt to hide your motivations.

I could be mistaken but it appears you are attempting to either change the conversation to more benefit you and ignore uncomfortable facts about your boys,

                OR,

You are implying Hamas gets to rape, torture, starve and kill because Israel is worse.

If either of those two are correct, I think the conversation is over. If a third option, please say

Let’s address just the starvation, because that was legit the only topic of conversation.

If Israel doesn’t let supplies in, how tf is “Hamas” supposed to feed their prisoners of “war?”

They’re “starving” the prisoners because they themselves can’t eat. Don’t be dense.
