Gravity is (yet another) Lemmy client for iOS. I started the development of this app a few weeks ago and thoughts why not releasing it, so there it is. I’m doing this for fun and on my free time.
What’s supported in this version:
- Login (but it’s not required, you lurker)
- Browsing, searching communities
- Voting on posts and comments
- Commenting
- Multiple feed layout
- Infinite scroll
What’s next:
- Creating posts
- Deleting and editing comments
- Filters and blocks
- Automated Nightlies with change log (git log)
Open sourcing should be comming in the next few weeks. Also, custom app icon will be a thing. The app is currently in english but I am working on translations. I will be releasing French and Spanish and German, when the main features will be working properly.
Please feel free to send any feedback by email or here in this thread. Thanks for testing!
With all this great Lemmy app competition coming out, the desktop is painfully lacking behind
Have you tried Alexandrite?
not OP, but i don’t use it mainly because it wastes a lot of space. it’s not bad… but i prefer my feed to be a little more content dense
I do too, but the multi-pane makes up for it. Devs have said a “compact” mode is in the works.
It is too slow to me, I don’t think it is a hardware issue to be honest.
Wdym?
It hangs/freeze several times, unlike stock UI or old.lemmy.world.
What are you viewing it on?
I’ve never had any issues.
Subscribed feed on lemmy.world from a MacBook Pro 2014 running Safari.
mlmym is a great old.reddit clone
Or just old.lemmy.world for this instance.
A new Desktop interface is being hosted on lemmy.world soon, named Photon
They’re taking a page out if Firefox’s play book I see
It works really nicely! We’ve already been hosting it at https://nu.lemdro.id. My personal fav.
