*unt being *unt
I don’t understand why national insurance payments are being reduced in the latest budget whilst the NHS continues to deteriorate due to lack of funding.
To nudge things closer to a long-term goal of abolishing the NHS? The Tories tried to prevent the NHS being created and have regularly attacked it ever since…
Because the aim is to get to the point where they can say “The NHS clearly isn’t working so we need to introduce American-style health insurance to pay for increased staffing levels and improved services. Entirely coincidentally, my wife runs a health insurance business.”
Hunt literally co-wrote a book on how to turn the NHS into a US-style system, and members of his family are prominent in private healthcare.
Understand now?
Can we just be done with the fucking Tories already??
Why on Earth over half this country keeps thinking these rich assholes who only want to line the pockets of themselves and their cronies, and sabotage social programs are going to do anything for them I don’t know.Do we really all want to go the way of the Americans where we pay $100s just to see a doctor??
Cause that’s what it feels like based on how people are voting. They are just piling on the bullshit, then labour will have to sort it out (assuming they’re actually going to try), people will be annoyed after a year because “nothing has changed” and then vote Tories back into office. Rinse and repeat
That’s what I do already at the moment, out of necessity
Let’s not forget, with FPTP and voter turnout, it’s not half.
In the 2019 general election, they won 43% of the votes with 67% turnout, which, to be fair, was higher than Labour at 32% of the votes.
Brexit was 52% of votes with 72% turnout.
I wish we had a higher turnout and it’s hard to justify that the will of the people is not met if they don’t bother voting but guess I’m just saying, it’s not true that it’s over half of the country.
My American ass pays $25 to see a doctor.
