Looking for an updated method to get YouTube ad free on an LG Smart TV running Web OS.

Tried pi hole but this doesn’t block YouTube ads.

    You need to enable developer mode, then use this tool to install the youtube adfree app. (Also install the homebrew channel so you can install apps directly from your tv) If you can, uninstall the original yt app first but if you cant like on my tv it will still work, but it will be uninstalled when you turn off your tv

      Your reply made me realize that I was searching the wrong thing to get this on a FireTV Stick. I had been searching how to get revanced for android installed since it’s just an apk like Kodi but kept getting errors about the package format. I should have done a more basic search of “ad free youtube firetv” and came back with this

        Sweet, were you able to uninstall the original yt app? We have 2 lg tvs in our house, one can uninstall the original app and one cant. Id be interested to know your model tv and whether it can or not

    Drop the “smart” part of the tv and use an external device like the Shield TV, heck even Apple TV is better than anything running WebOS or Tizen
