Report: Amazon will ditch Android in 'all of its new devices' starting with Fire TV

Amazon has been using “forked” versions of Android to power its products for years now, but the company is apparently...

This would be horrible for people who enjoy sideloading APKs.

Welp. When my current Kindle Fire dies, I will not be replacing it if I can’t get Play Books and Nook Books on it as well.
