Honestly I don’t know what’s going on in the USA. You’re so proud of your “democracy and freedom” yet one of your 2 political parties is able to effectively dismantle the entire thing in less than a decade. You’re now one election away from being a christofascist state.

…and yet you’re all just going to work tomorrow. You’re all doing pretty much nothing except “make sure you vote in 2024.” So I guess every 4 years you’re going to be one election away from a literal Nazi takeover?

I don’t know. Riot or something. I have no idea how you’re all coping so hard.

Kind of. The declaration of independence was where the founding fathers said it was the duty of each citizen to rise up and overthrow any bad governments. This gave them a good reason to rise up and overthrow the Brits.

The constitution is where we are given the right to have a gun. There are more words, but they are eternally debated about their original intent. It doesn’t, however, explain why we should be able to have guns.

That’s not what it says, but i do stand corrected:

“…being necessary to the security of a free State…”

The first half of the bill of rights guarantees the basics for instigating a revolution.

That was the intent, so the people were secured in the rights required if their government sold them out

The right to assemble and talk about problems and revolution etc. In private and in public or the press.

The privacy to plan and communicate securely.

The means to implement said revolution as required.
