drinking alcohol is not a hobby
Drinking alcohol does not always equal problematic drinking. I consider beer a hobby. I keep tasting notes on beers I try, I read books on brewing techniques and history, I search out beers with specific ingredients and of specific styles. All while staying within recommended limits for people of my age, weight, and gender.
How is that not a hobby?

I even brought my Mom out to a couple local breweries to show her how I get flights of beer to taste. Only a few ounces each and I don’t finish those that I don’t like. None of the macho BS of not leaving beer behind. I can walk out of some places with 8oz or less in my fat gut.
So judgy. There is nothing wrong with micro-brew beets.

Visiting new places. Traveling all over. And tasting what’s local. Yep, hobby for sure.
