    There’s geostrategic goals at state

Literally referencing the Putin propaganda mastermind Alexander Dugin in their reason for removal is pretty ironic.

Stop trying to make everything about you, shinigami (or should I say, Leni). It’s pretty obvious this is another one of your alt accounts you use to talk to yourself.

You say that like I ever said I wasn’t Leni (or that OP is me). The original community that had me (in which I am not banned) had shut down and I alternated. Here I am simply mentioning something I can verify happens. I know it’s a habit of reactionaries, but I see no need to get hostile towards me simply for existing. Is it not possible to get along?

@cm0002 you need to take a deep breath and relax. People that see the world in black and white are dangerous. The bad, moms basement kind of dangerous.

Thanks for your concern, but I’m perfectly relaxed, this is part of my documentation efforts.

Yea, I truly believe that’s one of the biggest blockers.

We can fix a lot of things ourselves or just with time like, lack of content, engagement etc. but without a hard-line against the tankies like wide defederation of .ml (or at least just the big ones like .world) fixing the outside reputation is going to be a tall order. Even with PieFed

Dessalines seems big mad at me.

Apparently I’ve been suspended from the Grad for my insolence.

It’s a dubious badge of honor, akin to not being well liked by hexbear back in the day.

Does anyone have a good alternative to this dogshit lemmy site? Something that doesn’t run this shit in the background and is still a good federated content aggregate?

The lemmy.ca admins run a piefed instance that I’m migrating to. Any piefed instance will be the same content as any lemmy server because it’s all activitypub but you get to use software that isn’t made by people with questionable politics.

I just realized I have been reading Piefed as Pixelfed - for many weeks now and I always was like nah, it may be ActivityPub but I don’t want an Instragram-like app. But it is not Pixelfed? What is it? The UI looks pretty similar to LemmyUI. Could you point out the core differences pretty quick?

          What is it?

Software package whose instances can federate with Lemmy instances.

More limited native client support is probably the most prominent downside to PieFed that I’m aware of. Use Interstellar for PieFed; it can also do Lemmy and Mbin. Usable, but not as mature as Eternity on Android. Getting more development than Eternity, though.

Biggest PieFed feature that I’m aware of that Lemmy doesn’t have is migration of communities. Was really useful for lemm.ee communities, as that instance was going down, and PieFed instances could import their history if a mod wanted to do a migration. I haven’t really gone looking for features, though.

From a developer standpoint, Lemmy is written in Rust, PieFed in Python, and Mbin in PHP.
