    Nobody wants to pay for news; which means nobody gets paid well to report it. So here we are in this dumpster fire of modern journalism.

      It’s also held to literally no standards whatsoever, so unlike scientific journals they don’t need to show all of the source data or list references.

        Nah, people are getting exactly what they want. People don’t want boring real news. People want inflammatory headlines and want drama and bloodshed. Putting this on media is silly. If people wanted the boring real unbiased news they’d be producing it. People want news that agrees with their world view.

          Same old story: you give people no choice and when they make the only choice you left them you use that to justify your actions.

            There is choice??? There are literally thousands upon thousands of news sites. There are so many options. But the successful ones are successful because it is what people want. Isn’t that hard to realize. Conspiracy brain rot is too strong these days.
