The pacing has become so disjointed that it’s starting to undercut the tone. It feels like major developments are unfolding, but the narrative hasn’t laid the groundwork to make their significance truly land. Up until the reveal of the Monster Protection Society, the story did a strong job of creating suspense and tension in a way that felt right for a thriller. This arc, in theory, should be the moment where everything crashes down and the full spectacle finally erupts.

But that spectacle isn’t hitting the way it should, it’s not visually or emotionally compelling. My interest is still there, but it’s largely riding on the investment I made earlier in the characters and plot. Without that foundation, I’m not sure it would be enough to hold my attention.
