Hi everyone, it’s time for another generator jam. This time we have a slight challenge; no using Plugins nor Imports. What can you make? Anyway, everyone wins that participates; just give a link to your gen on this forum post. oh and everyone who doesnt participate loses. MUAHAHAHAHA. have fun :)

Here’s my Focus Timer .
This has a bunch of code, it took me a lot of searching to find the right styles, because I self-learned CSS. ~It took about 2 hours. Also try to import it (Wicked Smile)~

typedo you suggest for a chat application?I would say Community/RP, but the comments plugin requires storage, kind of like the KV plugin, which I can’t recreate.
Alright. I was thinking of doing a workaround to somehow use the Comments Plugin and the Secret plugin without importing them, but I thought about it. I value my user’s comfort over winning a challenge, thus, I would like to forfeit from this challenge.

@VioneT@lemmy.world I noticed on an old generatorjam you have “type = text” on a submitted gen. Can you please explain that? are all submissions to this supposed to have “type = text”?
The type is the type of generator they were.
Textfor text generators,Imagefor image generators, etc. The valid types are:- Text
- Image
- Plugin
- Template
- Game
- Experiment
- Community/RP
- Preprocessor

You can try to add the plugins’ code into the generator, but I’d say directly copying is a bit lame, and it’s hard, because variables might repeat.
My not done generator Kitty Empire :) id say it’s a good start
