Netflix is planning to raise prices… again::Netflix is planning to raise the cost of its subscription, according to a report from The Wall Street Journal. The report comes just one week after the end of the writers strike.
Maybe its time I hit the yar ol seven seas again
Ya’left, ya land lubber?!?
jellyfin/plex here I come
Jellyfin is king. Plex is corporate-in-waiting, wishing it could have infinite growth infinitely. Jellyfin is just some people makin a thing.
- Make a decent video streaming service
- Lure users with low prices and fairly high quality content
- Realize other companies want part of the cake too
- Pretend you have a monopoly, so increase prices and lower the average quality of new content
- People use alternative ways to access video streaming content, that’s also more convenient because they don’t have to have a gazillion different apps on their smart device to stream video
- Surprised Pikachu
- Repeat steps 4-6
- Repeat step 7
- Repeat step 7-8
- …
- Die a slow death?

Get on the boat! comrades!
I just realized it’s been 3 months since I last watched anything on Netflix.
Huh…
I can’t remember the last time I saw something good on Netflix
One Piece live action is decent.
Is it hundreds of episodes long? I don’t watch shonen for that reason. About 50 episodes is my limit unless there’s a damn good reason and 0 filler
At the moment it’s 8 episodes and one season. But it took them that season to get to the grand line. So if they want to make it to the end, we are looking at at least 10 seasons minimum. But Netflix will cancel it after a few seasons anyway.
Nah, it crams in about a chapter or more per episode.
Barely. Cut a lot of good stuff and adding random shit
I said decent. Not that it is Anime/Manga good.
Looks like I cancelled my subscription just in time then.
Worst streaming service wants more money

Oh, boy. Here we go again.

Yeah, people always come into these threads foaming at the mouth, but in the end it’s just a big old spreadsheet, and it tips on favor of higher prices.
Is there anywhere one can find a list of popular or good content available on Netflix at any current time?
justwatch.com is great for finding what you can stream where for your region.
I left over a year ago and forgot about them.
I guess I will continue to use the expanded hard drive space I just moved to for my zfs pool. Yo ho, yo ho… 🏴☠️
