For the left, it looked gloomy for a long time: constant dispute with the former party icon Sahra Wagenknecht, poll figures in the basement, elections in the east. But now the party is experiencing a small comeback shortly before the federal election – at least measured in concrete membership numbers. The left currently has more than 81,000 party members.
