    I see. Nice and short article. She seems to believe that sending folks to rehab is the fix. Sounds good. Others say that mental health and poverty are why people are addicts and that this is not fixing the underlying problems. Sounds better to me.

    Feels like a bold but uninformed move. Quick, does something and gets people talking. There will be less folks on the steets for a bit while they are in rehab. The real test will be if those folks are back on the streets after a few weeks/ months.

    I’d say its unproven if things are going to be better long term and whether or not this addresses the issue.

    Relocating people from a problem area to somewhere else does have the effect of making it look like a problem has been fixed. Doesnt actually fix anything but it looks like it does.

    Also daily mail? Really? Nah, gtfo
