I didn’t think discrete Battlemage was going to make it.

    I have big hopes for Battlemage and really hope this is not the end of the intel discrete GPU lineup…

      Not to say they wouldn’t make another bad decision, but that would be suicide in the current field of play. Intel needs to keep developing their GPUs as more and more compute is moving to GPU style processors. Eventually the market they’ve dominated in will be a much smaller slice of the pie and the amount of effort to become competitive again might be insurmountable.

        I think rather that the future is APU (ie integrated graphics) + NPU. Discrete GPUs has little widespread application, besides high end gaming and high end AI.
