On Friday, the Washington Post’s publisher, Will Lewis, announced that the paper would no longer make endorsements for president—after its journalists had already drafted an endorsement of Vice President Kamala Harris. The decision was made by Jeff Bezos, the paper’s owner. Over a period of several weeks, a Post staffer told me, two Post board […]

The richest men in the world, folks.

Bezos is a roided up freak with private security and he’s still too scared to stand up for himself.

All of these men are the biggest fucking pussies alive, bowing down to the biggest pussy of all, Donald Trump.

He is probably more scared for his government contracts in case orange cheeto wins, than some maga retard trying to physically attack him.

Ian Bassin, a democracy expert, calls these moves “anticipatory obedience”: fear by owners that if Trump wins he could take vengeance on companies that cross him. They noted that the leadership at CNN and the Post changed after the Trump administration tried to block the takeover of CNN’s parent company and tried to deny a cloud computing contract for Amazon, whose founder, Jeff Bezos, owns the Post.

    That is so fucked up

    Unsubbed.

Don’t need to be giving my dollars to the spineless, or worse, to a fascist-supporting media owner.

Remember when all of the companies came out against Jan 6th? They said they wouldn’t donate to the RNC again if they were like that…

Then they started donating to the RNC because it’s a 2 party system so we might as well place bets on both sides.

    One editor has now resigned:

    https://www.semafor.com/article/10/25/2024/editor-resign-subscribers-cancel-as-washington-post-non-endorsement-prompts-crisis-at-bezos-paper

“The first prominent journalist, editor-at-large Robert Kagan, resigned Friday in response to the decision, Semafor first reported. But there may be more: “people are shocked, furious, surprised,” said an editorial board member, citing internal discussions around resignation. “If you don’t have the balls to own a newspaper, don’t.””
