They are thinking they somehow do the right thing while begin monsters, because that is how they were manipulated. Some their whole life without ever knowing any different. The same way Russians think they need to destroy Ukraine, Trump voters, North Koreans that Americans are baby eating monsters only stopped by their god-leaders good haircut, Hamas that killing Israeli civilians is great, etc.
