I think I made a mistake with my pie. I had a tart dish where you can remove the bottom, but I thought it was too small so I went and bought a glass pie dish. I put the biscuit base direct on the glass and now I’m worried it’s going to be stuck. I should have put down baking paper first. Worst comes to worst, dessert will be a deconstructed pie.

I am making banoffee pie for friend Xmas tomorrow. I’m very excited to eat it. Cream whipped, caramel is on the stove, then it’s just an assemble job. Hopefully it’s a hit.

I remember being in QLD one time in last spring, now that’s an early sunrise. Not for me.

Had to dress for all seasons today. Outside hot, office can get really cold. Not sure I succeeded, already getting cold. The thought of bringing a jacket to work on a tropical day was too much.

I went for a walk at 3:30pm today, with no idea about the swamp I was walking into. The sections in the direct sun were not fun.

Back in my stoner days, I used to buy this, warm it up a bit in the microwave and then top with a generous serving of Paul’s custard. So good.

One of those construct a meal from stuff in the pantry & fridge evenings and shove it all in the air fryer. I’ve got panko crumbed chicken breasts, hand cut chips, roasted zucchini and green beans. This will do.

I have a two week cough (and counting). No signs of letting up, my voice is destroyed. The only good part of this is the cough medicine I got prescribed. It’s delicious and makes me feel woozy.

Yep, finding any besides less than 600mm wide is hard. And then when you do find them, the matching bedframe is bulky, or it’s all cheap materials or ugly. A lot needs to go right to get the right bedroom furniture package. I’m going to mix and match too.

I found this too when I started looking, it’s not easy. The affordable options are boring or made from crappy materials. I have a 3m wall that I’m trying to fit a king bed, means I need a bed frame which isn’t super bulky and side tables that aren’t huge. Limits the already limited options.

You can mix and match bedroom furnture which can be a cheaper way to do it. Not buying those packages where everything matches. That’s all I know.

Tis the sky pretty season, so nice right now

My job interview last week was hilarously bad. This is the low salary, no negotiating! We work from home on the down low because overseas HQ does not approve, it’s not in the company’s culture. You will be the only person in your team for all of AU and NZ, anyone who can support you is located overseas. There’s 4 (FOUR) rounds of interviews, so get ready! And don’t mention WFH in the interview with overseas HQ because they’ll get offended by the request. So many red flags, no wonder the job ad has been up / reposted for months.

Two interviews lined up for today. Just when I had decided I was going to try the world of freelancing, my current work asked if I was interested in doing a secondment outside of my organisation (which could turn into a permanent job). Maybe I am. AND then a job I applied for a while ago has come out of the woodwork. Is the world trying to tell me something?
