Well the only downside I’m seeing is that I have to get up earlier if I want to take pictures without using any low light lenses. Other than that winter is great.

2·11 days agoThe biggest concern I’ve always had since I first became really aware of the potential for AI was that someone would eventually do something stupid with it while thinking they are fully in control despite the whole thing being a black box.

61·17 days agoHonestly any kind of gender-motivated hate murder should be punished but from my point of view isn’t the biggest issue the murder part? If you’re already sentencing someone for an intentional murder wouldn’t they be ideally getting something resembling a maximum sentence? In which case would the specific motive really make a huge difference in punishment? I’m just trying to understand why this is a big deal when the starting point is already murder.
See I’m curious about film but then I see the prices and I’m less interested… Though I’ve only really been doing photography since April

3·22 days agoWell most drones are under 1kg but it depends, agricultural ones can approach 200kg I’d be surprised if the military ones are more than a few kg depending on payload though.

1·1 month agoI’ve capped out 32 and still do fairly regularly. But I used to do a bunch of 3D and rendering. Now I do photo editing and just have other stuff open. 64 would help a bit for me but I can live.
Why do you need to prove anything? It’s not like they’d have any legal grounds to do anything. You might damage your future employment chances if it’s particularly visible but there’s nothing they can really do about it.
How would that make anyone liable? Did they make op sign an NDA?

It was pretty hostile but there was a lot of democratic process and the key thing was the ratcheting up over a good 10 years before they really went for power. They would take small pieces of power and grow their control incrementally until they had too much momentum for any other group to deal with them. Also some groups thought they could use them to their advantage and reign them in when things were sorted. They were getting the highest votes but it was a mixture of a lot of things and they pretty quickly stopped being democratic votes after the first few elections. Lots of propaganda, a large amount of coercion at least initially, some blindness and unforeseen consequences but a decent portion of the population supported the whole thing. At least that’s my understanding.

Radio frequency isn’t ionising radiation. It’s still harmful to absorb a bunch but individual photons don’t have enough energy to ionise particles.
