yeah, lemmy is still rough around the edges a bit. but it’s always improving.
still weird that doesn’t work for you. only other thing I can think of is to try a hard refresh, and if that doesn’t work, logging out and back in.
but yeah, some of the other interfaces are pretty nice too.
hmmm. what browser/os are you using?
i just tested this and it appeared to work for me. post links opened in new tabs, but links in comments or post bodies didn’t open in new tabs.
are any of those working for you?
haha it wasn’t actually me that did it, i just relayed the info.
but i’m going to try and be more active here going forward!
yep we preemptively blocked that when we saw the news about their domain name.
it was already removed on our end, but the removal doesn’t appear to be federating. i attempted to remove it again, but not sure if that will work or not.
instance rule #7 is against revealing personal information, and the post you mentioned has been removed, as well as others related to it. sorry for the delay in dealing with it!
agreed! I’ve been using KISS since Nova got bought out and have been loving it. i tried a bunch of different ones but KISS had the best combo of features and simplicity to me. will take a lot for me to switch away now.
sorry on the late reply here, but do you have “Show Read Posts” turned on in your User Settings? that could be one reason you’re not seeing everything.
very nice! i’ve been using the fork for a while now, and it’s been rock solid. glad to see it will be available on fdroid soon.
thank you, at least that clears things up.
that article is super confusing. the first paragraph reads:
Canada has reversed course after initially blocking a Russian anti-war activist from receiving citizenship because she had run afoul of Moscow’s harsh laws criminalizing dissent over the invasion of Ukraine.
which makes it sound like they allowed her to be a citizen, but the rest of the article is about how it didn’t let her.
it looks like it’s not yet compatible with 0.19: https://github.com/sheodox/alexandrite/issues/85#issuecomment-1806852902
it doesn’t appear to be easy to do either of those, from some quick testing. Looks like the

tags have bottom spacing which is causing the issue, mainly, at least in lemmy’s case. weird.
i think if you put less whitespace in between it will format a bit better?
thanks, it’s been dealt with.
yes, I’ve banned it and removed all it’s content.
thanks, community has been removed and user has been banned.
yeah we would have to look through our logs to see for sure what’s going wrong here.
according to this, as of this post: https://phiresky.github.io/lemmy-federation-state/site?domain=lemmy.ca
they are 136 activities behind, which may explain we you are seeing the inconsistencies? and as Rentlar mentioned, it could be also because they are behind on their version too.
edit: they also appear to be having intermittent issues too, which probably isn’t helping federation either.
