This is very true and it is applies to countries that are entering their path to socialism such as Nicaragua, Burkina Faso and Venezuela. You can see this in their recent reform(Nicaragua), their talks of reform(Venezuela) and/or their land reform(Burkina Faso). I really wish that the global south no longer has their eyes set in the West but on China as a model for development.

Sadly, lots of reporters shy away from this topic. However, you can probably find sources from reputable reporters if you look for topics separately:

• The US foreign policy caused immigration from the global south through sanctions and terror.

• There is rampant child abuse done to migrants’ children while crossing through Mexico.

• There is systematic abuse through forced labor and other vile things in the USA.

As for a source that connects the dots, this will be the first one I come across. Once again, if you put the effort and find a better source, I urge to share it.

I have seen these type of concerns like yours pop in a variety of topics discussed in this platform. However, this answer from another comrade is a good reminder about being critical of information and not falling into “Lib Purity”:

No. “Lib purity” is dismissing all information from a source you disagree with, even if some information coming from them is factual and truthful, specifically because they’re a chud. I stress again - we are against the guy, overall. But just because HE said something does not make that something untruthful. We CAN engage with the information critically. We don’t live in a world where every source is a ML and we can just consume information without fear of it being compromised. It is no reason to not post good bits. And by the way, I watched the video - there is nothing reactionary in it. If there was - I’m sure there would have been a disclaimer.

I understand, as a non-white person from Mexico, that certain reporters may be deplorable. However, what this person has shared around this topic goes in line with some Mexican sources around migrants crossing Mexico.
