WhatsApp is at least E2EE but Instagram isn’t even E2EE. Even Facebook Messenger is safer. Although, out of all the Meta apps, WhatsApp is the safest bet. I’m not necessarily promoting and saying you should use WhatsApp but just saying that it’s a safer bet. If you want an actual privacy respecting messaging app, check out Signal.
