@redd Basically that. In @MapComplete , I’m simply querying nearby reviews and seeing that the name is somewhat similar.
This means that is a shop changes name, they lose their reviews.
@ApplyingAutomation You can use https://mapcomplete.org/food for this - it has reviews (thanks to @mangroveReviews ) and picture upload
@abeorch @vatlark Also have a look at https://mapcomplete.org
@GravitySpoiled @pietervdvn@lemmy.ml Yeah, maybe we should ask them to use framaforms or similar next time.
@nudnyekscentryk @bruhbeans IIRC, there was a project in the UK which tried to map as many as possible, in order to predict fluctuations in electricity supply.
We know where clouds are with good precision. If we can match this with the locations of solar panels + some math, they could predict small fluctuations.
@dnkrupinski @pietervdvn@lemmy.ml @cynber hehe, wrong link. Should be mapcomplete.org/drinking_water
@strypey @MapAmore @openstreetmap @everydoor Have you tried https://mapcomplete.org already?
@beta_tester @jlow I’m trying to help y’all by making it easybt9 ass shops: https://mapcomplete.org/shops
(Also checkout the other maps on https://mapcomplete.org )
@HubertManne Qwant.com uses “qwant maps”, which is basically OpenStreetMap in a different branding.
DuckDuckGo has Apple Maps as provider, which is partially based on OSM (but, meh). However, the bang !osm
will take you to OpenStreetMap (and !wosm
brings you to the OSM-wiki)
@osmfeed @openstreetmap@lemmy.ml @openstreetmap@a.gup.pe I have done a lot of work on the tagging scheme for bicycle_rental https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Tag:amenity%3Dbicycle_rental, which I see that you “copied” the gist of. However, someone added bicycle\_rental=virtual
as option without discussing this first, incorrectly assuming that a painted area on the floor is, in fact, not virtual but real paint.
As such, I would say that this is, in your case, this is an escooter\_rental=dropoff\_point
instead of a escooter\_rental=virtual
@infeeeee @pietervdvn@lemmy.ml oh, glanced over that! Seems like I didn’t properly read your comment, sorry 'bout that
