I remember when the needle only barely started to move toward Bernie before the democratic party super-geniuses swiftly moved in to make a whole bunch of candidates drop to put their full support behind decrepit Biden right before Super Tuesday while funding a PAC to keep Warren in the race to split votes with Bernie while running their media machine in overtime talking over and over about the “Biden miracle” after the endorsement in South Carolina gave Biden his only victory up to that point. You know, South Carolina, which didn’t even end up voting for Biden during the actual presidential election.

Are these the democrats who are fighting back? Well, they’re certainly fighting off the leftists with all their might, that’s for sure.

The problem is that most of the growth goes to the already rich as they pay immigrants poorly and make them pay high rents (hence the need to have multiple families living in a single unit). It’s still a death spiral, just with higher profits for the rich few. The only way to make it not a death spiral is to force the rich leeches to stop sucking the blood out of everyone else.

Doesn’t take much attention to see his dogshit vice president, which extra sucks because democrats have decided that the vice president automatically gets to be picked as the presidential nominee for the next available election.

Meanwhile they actively attacked Bernie calling him old (which is funny to think about now) and mocking his supporters as “Bernie bros” as they pulled all the stops to prevent Bernie from getting the nomination. Democrats may call trump “dangerous” and his supporters “deplorable” but they do nothing to actually try to stop trump. They just offer up the most milquetoast of candidates as opposition, then shrug their shoulders with “at least he’s not trump”. It’s like a bad wrestling skit.

That they fought harder to stop Bernie from getting the nomination twice than they ever fought against trump speaks volumes. Just because they allow progressives to do a few minimal things, doesn’t mean the party does not serve the rich first and foremost. This is like how freedom of speech is allowed until it becomes a threat to the establishment (see pro-Palestinian protests that were shut down with bullshit excuses). When the possibility arose that Bernie could make actual significant change, the party threw a shitfit.

The democratic party will never be replaced with progressives because their donors won’t allow it.

I’m not trying to be profound, I was making a simple point. Just because you refuse to recognize it, doesn’t mean you didn’t ask a loaded question. Sorry to hear that you couldn’t handle this and had to run to your block list to shield yourself from minimal pushback.

If third parties were more effective then the screaming about them “stealing votes” that are supposedly owed to the two main parties would just be louder.

They both serve the rich first and foremost which is a critical issue for them to be “both sides” on. Yes, republicans are worse, but that doesn’t make democrats good.

This is one area where we’re supposed to benefit from the greatly increased automation. We don’t need a huge mass of people doing make-work. The current situation is that we force people to do make-work to continue making on-paper profits which mostly go to a tiny set of wealthy people. The current situation is unsustainable even if population growth increased because it’s a pyramid scheme. The system relies on infinite growth.

The birth rates are low because of the terrible environment that doesn’t support having and raising children. All you’re doing is importing more people who will also barely have any children within a generation or so. Mass immigration is just throwing bodies at the bottom of the pyramid scheme. You can see this in action in Canada where housing is absolutely unaffordable, but large numbers of immigrants are brought in who have to work for shitty wages and live with multiple families in a single rental unit.

The screaming about low birth rate is because corporations want to keep a high labor pool so they can drive down the price of labor while keeping up demand for consumption.
