This is the way to do it - also, it’s nice to have some vacation stocked away in case they do get mad and fire you before the end of the 2 weeks. If you don’t get fired, it’s like getting a bonus check once you start your new job.

I’m on board with your thought process but just keep reasonable expectations; it’s probably not going to last more than 5 years regardless if it’s battery operated or plug-in at this point. We have built in obsolescence and designed to fail products.

My windows ssd died about 2 weeks ago, but I was dual booting.

Took out the windows drive, slapped in a new one and I was no longer getting failed smart checks.

Happy to say that the windows drive that died was replaced with a new 990… that’ll be more storage for my Fedora Plasma system instead of getting windows 10 reinstalled. Win 11 was never a consideration but I did want to keep 10 around for as long as I could.

There was no ruling… the case was not taken up, so the ruling of the lower court stands as a precedent (for now).

I smoked from the time I was 15, until I was 33. I got a prescription for something called Chantix that worked really well for me to quit permanently.

It worked well for a few people I knew, but one guy said it made him really depressed / suicidal.

Chantix isn’t available anymore because of something that was in it that might cause cancer, but there’s a generic form of it called varenicline that may or may not be available in your country. Ask your doctor maybe if there’s a pill that will help you quit.
