“comedian”

Something from that game messed with my head. Whenever I played I had a lot of trouble sleeping at night, it didn’t matter if I played 10 minutes or 2 hours or what time of the day I played it
Price is similar to what I get in Michigan during weekends. It used to be super cheap Tuesdays and Wednesdays but after COVID they got rid of it and it’s expensive all the time
My father is a workaholic, even after retiring he found a couple of jigs to keep him busy almost full time. I tried to get him into videogames after retiring (he used to play a lot of SNES and Sega Genesis back n the day) and he didn’t find any joy in it
I hate working, I do it as a means to get money for traveling and for my hobbies and I spend a lot of time playing videogames
So I guess my father gets his dopamine directly from working and I work to get money to fund stuff that give me dopamine
20 years ago it was way easier to install Linux from a boot disk (like ubuntu or suse) than windows from scratch. Sometimes XP didn’t have the necessary drives and you’d need to find bootable drivers and load them from a floppy disk
It was even easier to install OSx86 on my laptop than windows vista from scratch in 2007
Maybe this is one of those thinking that 20 years ago was the 90s

They mock people that know facts and they are proud to be ignorant

Does kpop demon hunters count as super hero movie? I think it was at least more entertaining than Superman or fantastic 4 (didn’t watch the thunderbolts)

Just started Home before dark by Rikey Sager and I can’t put it down (about 30% in)

I feel the same as you, my wife loves celery and puts it on everything but I feel like it subtracts flavors on most stuff. She eats raw celery all the time, I can maybe stand it with a lot of ranch next to some buffalo wings

Close enough to the point where it doesn’t matter (-40)

My wife always gets excited when a book she loves is being adapted (right now Verity and project hail Mary) but I learned from many disappointments to not get excited. I still watch most of them but I don’t expect too much
Many years ago I made a library for Arduino to control an 8x8 LED matrix to display running text. It was not very clean but I like it enough to upload it to the forums (I couldn’t find anything similar). One week later it was complely different to what I uploaded and it was super efficient and a bunch of people added new functions and availability but my name still appeared as a main contributor. Of course I put it on my CV and showed it to my professors!

After 8 years my wife finally told me that she will leave her friend’s “family” account because she doesn’t want to support Spotify. I’ve been using YouTube music since it launched (as Google Play music) but I’m not sure that is any better (ethically)

In my previous work we had a bunch of devices that failed at the final installation. All of them passed that test at the end of line at the plant without any issues but they simply refused to boot at the customer site. When we read the ROM contents some data was corrupted We had a very extensive investigation and finally they realized that all the ones that failed had been flown instead of using ground shipping and there had been some solar activity so the final conclusion was bit shift due to solar storm and since fixing was to difficult and expensive it was just decided to stop shipping this particular device by air (it used a very cheap flash memory)

Here’s a better one. We just passed the predicted maximum point

Can I install/use jellyfin directly on my tv? That’s the only think keeping me on pkex (I haven’t tried jellyfin but I’m open to other options)

My cousin just finished his MBA from a big college, he is so proud that he used AI for most of his assignments, he used 3 out 4 subscriptions to make it “more human” and “not mistakes” and so they couldn’t detect it easily
He said that everybody in his courses was using AI and that most group discussions were about which AI is better, so it makes sense that those managers are so excited about AI, because it was able to do their “meaningless” jobs so they think it can do anyone’s job, but he doesn’t see the irony that he would be the first to be replaced
