As mentioned, this is indeed quite easily changed. Infact that is one of the best points of KDE, has defaults similar to those a windows user are familiar with, but can be changed and customized a LOT

I just take the prints off the supports or plate and put them in the wash basket.
corodius@lemmy.worldto 3DPrinting@lemmy.world•returning to SLA-resin printing: Which printer, curing station & resin?English1·2 months agoElegoo are my goto for resin printing, they are one of the more open manufacturers, and their ABS-like 3.0 is actually very ABS like. I use it a lot for model railway parts and it goes very well.
I use a Saturn 2, but either Saturn 4 or Mars 5 (ultra has more features but ofc more expensive) would do well. Of your choices, I would definitely recommend the Saturn 4. their Mercury wash and cure stations go quite well. I still use Isopropyl for washing, but they do a resin cleaner mix that sone swear by.

I haven’t “required” any, although I am someone who enjoys modding their printers, so not all of them are still stock. Nothing required though. I do with mine all the time, although some say one should never do this. I have not yet run into issues with any of my sovols in this regard.
This is true, it seems the repo for the ace plus isnt updated yet, however the repo exists, likely just got forgotten to be updated. Given their track record it probably just got delayed during the sovol zero release tbh. It is taking up most of their attention at the momwbt
I know a lot will say Bambu, but Sovol make excellent machines and their support is awesome from my experience. Plus, the benefit of their ecosystem being actually open, and open source for most of their stuff, vs bambu lockdowns.
I cannot recommend sovol enough,l. I have 4 of their machines with a 5th soon, among others that I have, and they definitely have been worth it.
corodius@lemmy.worldto 3DPrinting@lemmy.world•I have a question in regards to 3d modeling for a filament slicer addon to my hotendEnglish1·2 months agoIt really does depend on your cad skill level, but basically you would need to make a mounting setup to incorporate both. it is certainly doable, but tbh I would have a look at some cad files from existing setups, and what may be involved.
to be completeltly honest, it would likely be easier to use a Stealthburner mount for Ender 3, and build a Filametrix Stealthburner which incorporates the whole cutter and extruder into the toolhead, then just make some sort of mount for thr lever trigger. some probably already exist tbh!

from memory, i think you do need to use the drm to use family sharing, we had issue with that when we chose not to use the drm, but everything else we could implement fine without it.
corodius@lemmy.worldto Buy European@feddit.uk•This community when US tech is brought up3·3 months agoyep yep, exactly this. For whatever reason suits them, be it drm or others, pretty much everyone who publishes on steam does choose to do so
corodius@lemmy.worldto Buy European@feddit.uk•This community when US tech is brought up11·3 months agoIt is entirely up to the developer if they want to use it though. It is not mandatory for a developer to use Steam DRM even if publishing on Steam.
Kerbal Space Program 1, at least used to not require steam running at all. I havent tried in a while, but it was supposed to stay that way.
