I started my first batch of mead this week! Nothing fancy, it’s a 1 gallon kit and a very simple recipe but it already smells good and I’m having fun. I’m already making plans for batch #2.

Good enough for a four year old probably 😁. My 3 1/2 will have questions soon enough, he’s started to use the word “died” already but clearly without a lot of understanding. I’m also hoping it goes well.

Just started my first batch of basic honey mead yesterday! Your recipe caught my eye because I’ve got a bag of dried dates sitting in my cabinet and I was wondering what recipes to try for my next batch. Did you do anything to prep the dates or just add a handful of them to the must?

He’s made millions working directly and indirectly for him. It’s not even particularly subtle. Thiel made substantive donation to non-profits that existed soley to help get Vance elected etc…

It’s not even Trump really, it’s the whole movement that has been building around him and will live on after him. No one knows what the future holds but I’m willing to bet whatever comes after Trump will be worse.

I think the real question is always which one Trump is watching, used to be able to tell because he’d tweet on the same “topic of the day” that fox was playing

led to a feedback loop where fox would bring up one of their ridiculous talking points in the morning with the usual “some people are saying”, trump would tweet about it, then the messaging on fox would switch to “the president says”

Since the record contains timestamps, if someone were bored enough they could go through and correlate post times to known appearances he made. If the account posted at the same time he’s on video giving some speech or whatever it’ll pretty much disqualify all this shit.

Did you not notice that almost the entire realm of technology runs on open source software largely written by volunteers? Yes your laptop may run a proprietary piece of software but not the servers it talks to, your phone, your apps, the cash register at the store, the computer chip in your kids toys etc…
