I made the switch a few months back as well. Have you had the issue where"Recently Added" just straight up doesn’t work? It’s about 50/50 for me whether my new downloads show up there or not, and if they do, it’s usually inserted somewhere down the list between other things I added months ago. Not sure if there’s a workaround, but it’s my #1 complaint with Jellyfin. Otherwise, it’s been great.

Literally does not matter. There’s always going to be someone smarter, harder-working, or more privileged than you. The sooner you accept that and take ownership of your own experience without comparing yourself to others, the better off you’ll be.

Pretty widely understood at my last two companies to mean something like “looking into this” or “taking a look.” Basically just a quick acknowledgment to let the person asking the question know that they can probably expect a response from that person soon, and lets others know that someone’s already on it so we don’t duplicate effort.
I always assumed this was a common usage on Slack.

The constitution isn’t going to save us from that.

Why is it that seeking defaults to 30 second intervals, requires a click to confirm, and occasionally just jumps to some random point near the beginning of the file? Great software overall, but it’s wild to me that this basic playback functionality is so hit or miss.

First season was decent, but after a certain point the cognitive load required to keep track of the timeline(s) and character relationships just made it feel exhausting and not fun to watch.

Reduces the upfront cost a bit.

I suspect it’ll run on just about any Android or Google TV device as long as the default launcher setting isn’t locked down, and even then you can probably enable it with a couple quick ADB commands.

Saying “X feature will be locked behind a subscription” implies some new pricing model and leaves users who paid a one-time cost years ago wondering if it’s time to look for an alternative or if they’re completely unaffected.
a baby duck@lemmy.worldto Selfhosted@lemmy.world•Plex is locking remote streaming behind a subscription in AprilEnglish6·3 个月前“a subscription” is ambiguous as to whether it’s being locked behind the existing Plex Pass or some new/additional subscription model. The title could have more accurately stated that remote streaming is becoming a Plex Pass feature. As is, Plex Pass users (many of whom bought the lifetime pass years ago,) can’t tell from the title whether this is a new subscription cost or if they’re completely unaffected.
“Clickbait” might be a little harsh, but I get where they’re coming from.

It’s an Unraid share on a local NAS. I can’t remember what it’s formatted as off the top of my head, but it would have been the default fs option as of about 4 months ago. Maybe the file system itself is not storing create/modify dates correctly? It’s not an issue in Plex though, for whatever that’s worth.
