  • Well, the Area of the Russian Federation in Europe is 39% of the European landmass. This has nothing to do with the Asian part of Russia. The Russian Federation is about 1.7-1.8x the landmass of the European continent.

Still… I don’t really know how mostly empty tundra is really prevalent to the discussion.

And with a hundred million Russians living in the European part, that makes the largest ethnical group, considering the differences between the slavic ethnicities.

This is true, and I do wish there wasn’t an artificial constructed delineation between Russia and the rest of Europe. However, I don’t really know how western Europe is really meant to overcome this considering Russian cultural ideology is still being haunted by the specter of the Russian empire.

As someone who’s ethnically East asian, its always funny when I hear Russians consider themselves “The East”, when the only historical ties they have to the actual East is European styled imperialism.

Ethnical, Cultural and Historical divides are a poor and often arbitrary metric to justify modern Nations borders, both in joining or separating areas.

    100% agree.

  • which is a skill, but isn’t intelligence.

I would argue that’s a semantic dispute. The definition of intelligence changes based on the context of the argument.

Most people would say neurosurgery requires a high degree of intellect…and then there’s Ben Carson.

So is neurosurgery, one of the higher degrees of modern medicine simply a skill? If so, what exactly is intelligence?

Imo intellect is just human construct that is used to delineate certain types of skill from others. People on a whole aren’t usually competent outside of their fields of expertise, and defining intellect as competency in all aspects just makes nearly everyone an idiot.

  • Also Russian in its legitimate borders makes up almost half of the European continent.

Not sure if land mass is exactly prevalent in this, as most of Russia is just colonized portions of Asia.

When we are past this whole mess we need to stop thinking of the EU as “Europe” and the other half of the European continent as “not Europe”.

It takes two to tango… A lot of the modern ideas separating Russia from Europe was done as a way to validate Russian imperialism. This idea is being continued by people like Putin for the same reasons.

    https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eurasianism

Also ethnically speaking Slavs are the largest ethnic group in Europe with about 300 Million people.

Yeah… But thinking of Slavs as a monoculture is really dated, and kinda goes against the way we classify ethnicities all together. East, West and Southern Slavs are separated by distinct cultural groups, religions, languages, and about 1500 years of history.

  • This is just a person who has a limited definition of human intelligence. If you’re not smart in the same way I am, then you’re just an idiot.

Trump might be lacking in the traditional academic understanding of intellect, however I think it’s hard to deny that he’s an extremely potent bullshitter. Which in my opinion takes a certain level of intellect.

If we keep trying to frame Trump as a complete buffoon it gives him an edge. It’s about time we stop underestimating his ability to manipulate not just the general public, but the media apparatus and capital holders as well.

Plus, if he’s actually an idiot…what does that make the people he’s beating at the polls? Politics is a popularity contest, it’s not a science symposium.

Just as an FYI, most states have programs that will fund a disability lawyer to assist you with your disability claim. Most of the time the lawyers will be paid partly through your claim if it is successful and it’s usually free if it is not.

Also do not get discouraged if your claim is initially denied, in my state it’s basically an open secret that your first claim gets automatically denied to discourage people from actually getting benefits. With disability, it’s all about persistence, documentation, and filing as soon as you can. Even if you get denied for years, when it is successful your claim will be back dated to the date of your initial filling.

Not a lawyer, but I work in a field where most all my patients are on disability, and I have had to help my parents file in an extremely conservative state.

It’s also not really explaining much either. They don’t give examples of other elections to compare it too, and their own methodology is lackluster.

They are basically saying that after approx 250 votes trump started to pull ahead, which is to be expected as a lot of early Dem voters were mail ins.

To be honest it just seems like they are trying to purposely confuse normal phenomena with statistical diction, and alluding to claims without providing context.

Usually when making claims this grand you would also want evidence to match it. You’d also want to provide an example to compare it to previous elections utilizing the same methodology.

What if there was statistical evidence of probable tampering?

All of the allegations listed on this site have fairly logical explanations when given context.

Republicans pushed against mail in ballots hard, so it makes sense that Harris would do better with mail ins and trump would do better with early voting. It also makes sense that trump voters mainly cared about the presidential election compared to Harris voters. It also makes sense that Harris underperformed as Democrats didn’t get to participate in a primary. Basically it makes sense for there to be abnormalities in an abnormal election, that doesn’t mean there’s “statistical evidence of probable tampering”.

Plus Trump, in his rambling, said something that [heavily implies tampering with vote counting machines

Right… But this means that we would be questioning trump’s honesty based on assuming that trump is being honest on this particular subject. He’s a troll who likes to stir the shit and make people assume he’s more competent than he really is, the same as musk.

It does not behoove progressives to question the reliability of elections without real evidence. Having people question the reliability of elections only serves conservative agenda of making it harder for people to vote.

  • Yeah, Giáp is undeniably one of the greatest minds in modern military history. Not only did he defeat some of the most powerful militaries in the world, he did so in strategically different positions.

I can’t think of another commander who excelled against an occupying force as an insurgent, was successful in counter insurgency, and defeated a better armed opponent in a head to head battle.

You’re totally right, if America had a general as successful everything in the US military would be named after them, we’d never hear the end of it.

  • Feel like this is really belittling to the VC and PAVN, the Ho Chi Minh trail is rightfully known as one of the greatest achievements of military engineering in the 20th century.

The North Vietnamese military didn’t win because America was just that incompetent, they had arguably a couple of the best generals in modern history. I mean they defended against the armies of France, America, cambodia and China within a couple decades.
