Perfect was never the line, the line was just “not genocidal” and if your preferred Nazis couldn’t meet that standard it’s their fault and yours for letting them think they could get away with it and still maybe win.
Voluntary departure from where? The international waters, from which they were kidnapped?
I actually loved this one, although the product placement was off the wall
Are you making a baseless criticism of a man who has been tortured for most of his childhood and his entire adult life?
What if he hates the people who tortured him, then what, he deserves it?
Then we happy apple photograph just switch back to normal speech laptop table tennis eye
Ever since I was a kid. When I was very young I probably would have said because they tell better more (I wouldn’t have used this word, but it’s what I would have mean) focused stories than western RPGs.
Now I think I can be honest and say that a lot of it is nostalgia. I still have trouble replaying some of the ones I grew up on, I’ve gotten to a point where I need to be making choices in games that don’t have realtime elements at least so “select attack until the boss, then Fire 2 until out of MP, heal as needed” is kinda boring. A lot of games have been experimenting with this lately though (Octopath Traveler, Sea of Stars, Star Renegades [technically a roguelike]) which is nice to see.
Strategy jrpgs where you move around little dudes on a map hold up better I think.
The delusions of grandeur required to think your glorified auto complete is going to turn into a robot god is unreal. Just wish they’d quit boiling the planet.

They seem pretty content with their healthcare. They’re genuinely appalled to hear about the state of healthcare in the US
Per wikipedia (I know, but I don’t think this kind of data is political enough to be subject to the NATOpedia treatment, it’s originally from the census bureau), the median income for workers in the US in 2023 was 40,480 USD. That’s 3373.33.
It’s a great social media app. The person to person cultural exchange is very nice.
Maybe in addition to teaching Americans to respect and admire China and the Chinese people, this cultural exchange will also help to innoculate more liberal Chinese netizens against the late Soviet “communism in wonderland” style idea that you can trade in communism for capitalism and it’ll be all upside.
I’ve seen a lot of nostalgic pro-Soviet content, but in a thread on the app where someone asked how they felt about the Soviet Union, there was a lot of sentiment being expressed that indicated that they’re still pretty sore towards the Soviet Union about the Sino-Soviet split.
I even saw people suggesting that in its post-Stalin state it was better for the Soviet Union to fall.
If I’m being honest, I was pretty shocked, but I held my tongue because it doesn’t feel like it’s my place to criticize.
Edit: to be clear, my experience on the app has been overwhelmingly positive, and I love seeing the cultural exchange, because it has me very hopeful that one of the most important pieces of propaganda that the American ruling class has inculcated in its working class (China bad) will be broken.
On the one hand, I’d also love to “identify and target” Wikipedia editors, but I’m guessing they’re not talking about the people who make sure that the article on the 2019 Bolivian Coup remains titled 2019 Bolivian political crisis.
Hell yeah, the first three were pretty good.
It’s the province. It’s like a state. This is like if you thought the US was genociding Hoosiers but didn’t know what “Indiana” meant and then when called out on it you said
It almost doesn’t matter what else you say going forward, you’ve been speaking from ignorance this whole time, which makes all your words seem like they’re in bad faith. We all know what Sartre says about
