Potatoes look very good. The onion gravy doesn’t look too bad. Lamb is tough to get it just right. Looks like a pretty good supper to me. Glad you shared

I don’t know if I agree (well I do agree that windows 8 and 10 suck), I always set the theme to classic and turned off aero first thing when using vista/7
Looking forward to iOS Vista!

The launch sales aren’t nearly as important as the holiday sales and beyond for the health of the generation. Now that all the hardcore fans bought a switch 2. Are the families with switch lites gonna buy it? The casual gamers who only play Mario kart and already have switch 1 and mk8dx gonna buy it?
You can say that it isn’t for you but you can’t say it’s a shitty show. It’s one of the most influential shows of the 90s. Cheers, All in the Family, MASH, and Seinfeld are probably the only ones that compare. (I’d like to put Malcolm in the Middle and Married with Children up there too but that’s probably giving them too much credit)

I’ve had some unpleasant dustups with some leftists here but beyond having comments removed for being pro capitalist by .ml admins, I haven’t had any issues with moderation. Sure I’ve been heavily downvoted but I’ve never gotten banned.
TORFdot0@lemmy.worldto Technology@lemmy.world•Why Decentralized Social Media MattersEnglish5·8 days agoIf you want a place with no bans, then start up your own instance. Nobody can ban you. Sure they could defederate from you, but they couldn’t ban you.
If you want a platform that can’t ban anyone AND can’t block anyone, well you could make your own platform but I wouldn’t expect many to join you because nobody wants that.
We have the freedom to say what we want. We don’t have the freedom to force people to hear it though.

Opposition as in silencing the opposition to the beliefs of the admin/moderation team. Such as lemmy.ml removing comments for being pro-capitalism or anti-CCP or Reddit shadow banning anti-ai, anti-spez, or anti-capitalism, or a number of other topics that end with people being shadow banned. Lemmy.world isn’t perfect in its moderation but when it does mess up, !yepowertrippinbastards@lemmy.dbzer0.com is there to call them out.
Being pro-Israel is not that same as approving their actions in Gaza. Being pro-genocide is not popular but being pro-Israel is and has been for the last 60 years. It wasn’t until the war in Gaza that Israel had net negative favorability 1
Only on left-wing echo chambers is capitalism not popular. Yes people want reform and so capitalism doesn’t poll as well as it used to in favorability but Americans are still overwhelmingly for capitalism 2
Maybe things are different in Europe, I can’t say. I don’t live there.
Not trying to be a nerd, citing sources and saying “uhm actually” I just very much enjoy, Lemmy, Lemmy.world, and the posters of Lemmy.ml, I just don’t care for Reddit or the admins of .ml, grad, or hexbear.

It’s not unmoderated but it’s not using its moderation policy to silence opposition like Reddit or Lemmy.ml
I don’t think you can be mad at a site that explicitly tries to be for the mainstream for holding mainstream positions like being pro-Israel or pro-Capitalism

The 80s had some great games. Donkey Kong. Pac-Man. Galaga and Galaxian. Super Mario Bros 1,2,3. Zelda 1 & 2. Contra, Castlevania, Megaman
But the 90s had Mario World and Mario Kart. Super Metroid. Link to the Past. Donkey Kong Country. Mario 64 and Ocarina of Time. Crash and Spyro. Sonic. Medal of Honor. Goldeneye. Half - Life.
I’d probably take the 90s slightly over the 80s. Heck even the 00s have Half-Life 2, the GTA series, the good Call of Duty’s and Halos. And the 2010s had RDR2 and GTAV.
2020s haven’t had any super great games yet though.
