That’s a regulation I actually support. Our fellow citizens are too stupid to not choke one the fake yoke.

Postmortal_Pop@lemmy.worldto Homebrewing - Beer, Mead, Wine, Cider@sopuli.xyz•Gatormead 🐊English3·1 day agoI could kind of see that working. Wine coolers are soda and wine, sangria is wine and juice, gatorade is just kool-aid and salt so it’s somewhere between soda and juice. It’s not classy, but it’s not bad.
I got an old console tv, gutted it, and fit a cheap 32in in it. Doesn’t have that dome effect but it feels amazing to play n64 and Xbox on.
Also 20, though I have an emergency stash of clothes in the car incase of fire.

Postmortal_Pop@lemmy.worldto Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Non-Americans, what's it like when you're sick and need to go to the doctor?18·3 days agoThere’s a sizeable portion that tout hopes and prayers as a cure, and plenty of faith healers off the highways. May not be the bongo drums and carved masks you imagine, but it’s witch doctors all the same.
Postmortal_Pop@lemmy.worldto Selfhosted@lemmy.world•My reason for wanting HomeAssistant and a locked down VLAN...English4·3 days agoI have tentative plans to make my own smart lock by way of electric motor and commercial deadbolts with an RF scanner and a back up battery for emergency. It won’t be amazingly secure in a tech way, but I figure the combination of novelty and DIY should make it reliable.
That said, I gotta be that guy and remind everyone that all locks are security theatre and are not going to protect your house from the persistent or prepared. Your best defense is a combination of foresight and social engineering.

Best pet I ever had was a ball Python. She was the absolute cuddiest creature I’ve ever met. If she didn’t know your smell she wouldn’t budge from her current spot, but if she did she’d slide right up your arm and ride on your shoulders all day. Unless you have boobs, then it’s straight to the bra.
She never bit anyone in the years I knew her. She even had a preference for movies, if you played something scary she would hide but if you played kids movies she’d move to your lap.

Also I didn’t wake up today thinking I needed a commentary on a music video but hot damn did every second of that put a smile on my face lol you’re totally right about his story telling.
Postmortal_Pop@lemmy.worldto Dad for a Minute@lemmy.world•I need dad advice for teaching children on musicEnglish11·9 days agoI think you’re over thinking it. After 6, teaching kids how to do things is like teaching excited adults how to do things, just with less swearing. Lay it out in simple terms, raise the bar as they get better, and remember that this is supposed to be fun. If you’re worried about pop music, remember that this puts you in the perfect position to introduce them to new music too. Sure, you start with whatever they’re listening to, then slip in a, “hey, this sounds a bit like [band name], you should give this a listen.”
I’d highly suggest QIDI if you’re not building from scratch. I got my X pro back in 2018 and not only is it still stupidly detailed, but it’s an absolute workhorse. On top of that, they’re the best customer service I’ve ever had. I’ve made a ton of mods to mine over the years and they’ve done everything from helping me flash custom firmware to recording video guides for reversing the spin on the motors. I really cannot stress how great they are and how well they understand the DIY nature of this hobby.
