Not sure how you got away with that… Every single time I have been forced to use Twitter for a video, it has been an awful experience. Their video player is one of the worst modern video players I’ve ever had the displeasure of using. Plus they gate everything behind a login nowadays, so even embedded players in news articles won’t work unless you sign in first. Twitter is rapidly becoming Pinterest for fascists; It grabs content, then walls it behind a login page.

With many subjects, I agree. But there are other subjects that have been politicized, which really shouldn’t have been. Someone’s sexual orientation shouldn’t be a matter of political debate. If a gay guy mentions their husband, that’s not “bringing up politics”, but many conservatives will treat it as such. I’ve heard all of the “shoving it in my face” comments just because someone dared to mention their partner when asked how their weekend was. In reality, that person is simply existing, and peoples’ existence should never be a matter of political debate.

Should it matter? Amazon threatened to fire her because she was run over and shot by a terrorist. Her FMLA eligibility shouldn’t be a factor. Sure, Amazon may be legally allowed to fire her, but they’re still dirty cunts for doing it and deserve every ounce of scorn aimed their way.

FMLA is a law that protects employees’ jobs while they’re on unpaid medical leave, but you need to be at the job for at least 12 months before it kicks in.
Basically, Amazon denied her unpaid medical leave, (basically just a leave of absence, since it’s unpaid), because she hasn’t been there long enough to be covered by FMLA. So if she takes the leave anyways, she’ll be fired. Basically, they’re threatening to fire her for being a victim, because they’re not legally obligated to keep her job held while she recovers.
If you’re looking for something more pop-like, with heavy jazz influences, consider checking out Zutomayo. It’s a rotating cast of masked musicians, (the vocalist is the only permanent member), with some heavy big band and jazz underscoring it. The instrumentation is actually phenomenal, especially for a group that has the pop so front and center. For instance, the bass line from this (especially the solo around the 1:30 mark) could put many bass players to shame the first time they try it.

Sounds a lot like American sovereign citizens.
