I’ve been reading a book about anti-gravity. I just can’t put this thing down.
As a child I used to annoy the hell out of my mother, by asking why… I’m a scientist now. Now I wonder why, as the pay is shit 😂
1 day, I had covid and couldn’t move.
ODuffer @lemmy.worldto Cars - For Car Enthusiasts@lemmy.world•Remember what they took from usEnglish11·30 days agoI remember it well lol. Back in the day, I had a Triumph TR7. I had to disconnect the headlight motors and run with them up, because of ‘winking’.
In the UK at least, ‘Jay’ is also commonly used for James. Not a bad choice. In addition, James Bond would like word about ‘Nerdy’ !
Ha yes, I’ve also been to Lisbon, I did the Lisbon ½ marathon, they ran out of water at the water stations, I’ll never forget that run! Yes everyone is happy to see you here in Porto, more ‘locals bars’ and restaurants. I also live in a provincial city, it’s great. Lisbon feels a little too large, perhaps not as relaxing.
Yeah, I’m pretty annoyed right now, hence the post! I’ve got a nice travel wallet. However, I have a tendency when leaving a shop just to bung the change into my back pocket, and I think perhaps to retrieve change etc, the 10s have fallen out ffs, once is excusable, twice I’m an idiot lol. Porto is fantastic, having a great time, fortunately it’s pretty cheap, and I’m at a time in my life were 20 is just annoying and I’m not crying only p*ssed! Can recommend:-)
Yes we do. Not everyone speaks ‘Estuary English’
I’ve never run with music. It appears to me, to be a pretty dangerous activity in an urban environment. I’ve had a few near misses ‘naked’. Music while running has never really interested me anyway. I’m 55 so maybe that’s why…

Not quite, according to JPL https://www.jpl.nasa.gov/edu/news/how-many-decimals-of-pi-do-we-really-need/
15 decimal places, for Voyager 1 - We have a circle more than 94 billion miles (more than 150 billion kilometers) around, and our calculation of that distance would be off by no more than the width of your little finger.

I’ve been offered the chance of ‘buying’ an extra 10 days (salary sacrifice, spread over the year), I might go for it.

55 here, I’m a regular runner, not a problem, even ½ marathons. However, I can just be walking to work in the most comfortable shoes, and my ankle randomly gives out, I can’t even move. 5 minutes later it’s back to normal heh.
I hope they find more, so there’s a star called AF.
