“Misdirection is the key to survival, never attack what your enemy defends, never behave as your enemy expects, and never reveal your true strength. If knowledge is power then to be unknown is to be unconquerable.”

Depend on the agreement between the Overlord and the vassal.
An overlord can agree to join the vassal in all war, in offensive war only, in defensive war only, or none at all.
Likewise, an overlord can demand the same from the vassal, to join in all war the Overlord participate in, or only in either offensive or defensive war, or none at all.
You can see on the war demand page if declaring war on an empire would drag someone else into the war on their side or not.
I never expected the Syrian army to fall this quickly, but it didn’t look good in the first place.
Back when they were fighting back, the bull of the fighting force that didn’t come from Iran were formerly pretty active paramilitary groups that were incorporated into the Syrian army. After these fighter served full term in the army and got discharged, they joined up with other paramilitary or mercenaries groups, such as Hezbollah or Wagner group.
Now that practically every experience fighters on Assad’s side are busy elsewhere, the entire forces on Assad’s side are pretty much underequipped conscripted troops that have neither the skill, experiences, equipments, nor the morale close to what the previous generation of fighters processes. Now add the fact the rebel groups are unsubtly support by the Yank et.al., and…well, you can do the rest of the math yourself.
What a compact fighter.
The west seem to unable to comprehent that people of Southeast Asia aren’t interest in any SEATO style treaty (yes, they tried this before) so much that the formation of ASEAN were made with the sheer, explicit intend of not being a SEATO-style treaty to prevent the kind of disaster that happened back during the Cold War.
Hell, they even destroyed more Russian artillery than ever build since WWII.
Nukes have such unique detonation characteristic that it’s quite hard to hide, especially since we have tons of eyes on the whole area for decades. While I would not be surprise if this is real, I’d want more concrete evident first that it’s actually a nuke and not simply salt the ground with U-235 (for some reasons).
Well…what do you expected would happened when the defending side effectively announced that a huge chunk of the reserve that would have been reinforcing the frontline suddenly weren’t there anymore.
Someone took “thesis defense” a bit too far.
…and my earlier answer to your question was “indiscriminately”.
I’m glad you didn’t add the twist lol.
This read more like a “increase defense budget plz” than a serious strategic analysis.
Thai comrade here.
We consider the monarchy issue as something to be consider after getting rid of west-influenced capitalist. The royal family is one huge contradiction by the virture of both being based as fuck and being the fucking monarchy at the same time (Unsurprisingly, consider the previous king openly stated to have Tito as idol). If it’s confusing, don’t worry, you’re not alone. The now-defunct Communist Party of Thailand also couldn’t make up their mind on this issue.
This day is to be remembered.
Apologies, I’m not really familiar with that franchise. Can you elaborate?

I more than understand. I embraced it.
The glow, the wonderful glow.
I’ll go for “USian” instead, becaus for whatever reasons it seem to pissed them off more.
…I though everyone learn this lesson all the way back in WW2.
